Bio
For Boom, Music Is Life, Like It Is For Every Other Band.
However, What Makes Boom So Different Is The Adversity, The Struggles,
The Pain. And They Have Conquered Over All Of That, And Now People Are Starting To Take Notice.
It All Started After The Legend Killers Broke Up, That Left Logan Thinking Of How Much He Really Wanted It. So He Decided To Gather Up A Few Friends, Put Together A Band, Write Some Songs...And BAM! They Quickly Put Together A CD.
However, That May Have Been The Problem All Along
Despite The Early Arguments, They Begged And Begged To Get On Fuse, And After A Lot Of Luck, They Got On. Fuse Quickly Changed Their Opinion On Boom.
Fuse & RCA Records Helped Boom Put Together A Tour Called The 'Bring It On Tour'. That Was A Success.
Its What Happened After That, That Made Them So Special. Reggie & Billy Never Got Along During Their Time Together In The Band, And That Made The Chemistry Between The Band, Very Very Low.
So, After A Few Weeks Of Wondering...They Called It Off Between The Original Four Of Them. Shortly After, RCA Records Let Them Go.
Reggie & Austin, Were Not Going To Give Up Though, They Did A Search To Find A New Bassist and/or Lead Singer. They Found Both Of Those In One With Scott.
So, They Practiced And Practiced And Finally Got ONE Offer From A Record Company Based In Columbus Called Pickup Records. So, They Took The Deal..And Quickly After, Another Tragic Event Struck. Reggie's Mom Had Passed Away In A Tragic Accident. So, They Gave Him A Month Off, He Took About 2 Weeks Off And Then Came Back
After He Came Back, They Started Writing Some Songs, And Put Together A Demo, And Sent It To Pickup Records, And They Took It In, And Had Them Re-Record It, And Then Scheduled Them To Release In 2008.
MORE Adversity However, The CD Was Originally Titled AVA, Meaning The Return. However, The Limited Choices That They Got To Choose For Themselves, Made Them Leave Pickup Records. So Once Again, They Were Without A Record Company, And Got Their CD's Thrown Away.
However, They Still Had Their Demos, And Sent Them To Record Companies And Finally Doghouse Records Responded & Gave Them An Offer. They Couldn't Refuse.
So, Once Again They Re-Recorded Their CD, And This Time Titled It 'The Uprising'. They Kept The Cover Which Had The Letters "AVA" On It, And Those Letters Were Pictured In Wings.
The Reason The Kept The Cover Is Scott's Daughter's Name Is AVA
And When Asked Where The Name Of The CD Came From Reggie Replied "The Whole Band, Both Previous And Current Members, Have Been Through So Much Adversity Together As A Band" He Went On To Say "We All Agreed On The Title [The Uprising], Because We Have Been To The Top And Down, And Back Up, And We Believe This Is The Second Coming Of Boom"
Whether You Like Them Or Not, You Have To Admit, Boom Has Been Through A Lot, And Has Conquered Over It All.
Boom Is Currently On Their 3 Month Tour Which Started June 6th
